Shirley Hill Witt (Box 6, Folder 7). Shirley Hill Witt was born on April 17, 1934 in Whittier, California. She is a member of the Akwesasne Mohawk Nation, Wolf Clan. She received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Michigan in 1965 and 1966, respectively. She earned her Ph.D. in Biological Anthropology from the University of New Mexico, in 1969.
